What is Qi Gong ?

Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing and movement exercises.

 
There are many forms of Qi Gong practiced all over the world. Some of these forms involve breathing and meditation to promote spirituality and health while others are more vigorous and include martial arts exercises.
Tai chi is sometimes referred to as a form of Qi Gong because it cultivates and moves Qi, 

What are the benefits of Qi Gong ?

Qi Gong can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage and sound.
 

Qi Gong opens the flow of energy in the meridians. The movements warm tendons and ligaments , tonify vital organs and connective tissue and promotes a healthy circulation of blood and body fluids. Many studies show that Qi Gong is very effective in helping to heal emotional stress, anxiety and to lower blood pressure.

How do I start ?
There are many beginner Qi Gong classes available online for those that prefer to be at home.
I offer private Qi Gong classes as well as group classes focusing on movements through the 12 main acupuncture meridians.
